This inspiration outfit from last August is way too trendy...or "fashionable"...or something for my style. I think it's the yellow patterned heels and neon yellow handbag that are outside my sartorial zone. But you can't go wrong with blue + red.

Especially when you complement them with white in the form of a fish scarf and striped flats. This would be a fun Fourth of July look if you lived somewhere cool...you know, like in Coldville before global warming fucked everything up. But in this timeline, wearing an outfit like this outdoors for any length of time is reserved for a bit later in the season.
There is nothing wrong with loving America and its fine tradition of fish all year long, people. Nothing.

Today's white rabbit is a mini satin, a breed developed in the good old US of A. Though development of this breed began in 1970, it was a rocky road, and the mini satin was not accepted by the American Rabbit Breeders Association until 2006! (It is the 47th of the 49 breeds currently recognized by the ARBA.) The red-eyed white mini satin, like the cutie pictured here, was the first variety of mini satin to be recognized. No doubt it was familiar to the ARBA because of its resemblance to the White Rabbit in the Alice universe.
In other news...A terrific article in The Economist about the post-truth world.
