Today's styling of a purple knit top is brought to you by two lovely ladies. Erin has put a purple dress together with a black cardigan, gold tassel necklace, and a leopard print clutch.

Jen has picked up the purple in her leopard print skirt with a purple cardigan and a long station necklace.

So here's another of my Frankenoutfits, in which I combine half of one outfit with half of another. (Neither of them is wearing gold shoes, but I think my choice is consistent with the way Jen bookended her outfit by wearing shoes that echo the color of her hair...and Erin too, for that matter.)
*Purple short-sleeved T (Target), $7.00/wear+
Leopard skirt (Kohls), $2.30/wear+
*Elbow-length black cardigan (thrifted, AB Studio), $5.00/wear+
Long gold tassel necklace (Kohls), $3.33/wear
Gold flats (Nordstrom), $3.57/wear
Outfit total: $21.20/wear
Even though my animal print skirt doesn't have any purple in it, I think it works fabulously with this shade of purple top. I also appreciate that the skirt is not a pencil skirt, but still has a close fit at the hips, which makes it easy to pair with tops, including ones like this T that are a little longer than many skirts can handle untucked. It's also made from a stretchy fabric with an elastic waist for maximum comfort. Plus, it's not ridiculously short!
Now for a very different kind of animal...kissing prairie dogs.
In other news...Our site administrators are back to work this week, in meetings on Mon-Tues, but back on site on Wed.--which means I needed to get my ass in gear to finish up the site end-of-year reports as well as the site incoming reports for the new year starting next month. And despite various data problems and the like, at 4:36 p.m. I emailed my boss with the location on our shared drive of the last set of reports! Woot!
Now the road is clear tomorrow morning to get back to this federally-mandated data collection
So I've been working hard this week. However, teens aren't working this summer as much as they have in the past.
On a more amusing topic--do you think I can get Robert to do a slow chicken dance to a cheesy romantic song at his mom's upcoming wedding?? (That was the best 1:24 of the first 3 episodes of New Girl. You're welcome.)
I ordered a camera this weekend, and it should be arriving tomorrow. Exciting! Stay tuned.

There is no way anyone in their right mind would do a slow chicken dance ever, so no, you won't be able to convince Robert. But, if you do I would love to see it!
Hmm...so it sounds like step 1 is get Robert to be not in his right mind. Tricky.
