When You're Right You're Right

My dad used to give his mom a hard time for calling Cheerios "Cheeri Oats" until he found out that Cheeri Oats was the original name of the product.  Well, I just saw this ad online, where General Mill is really playing it old-school.  (I'd never seen the Cheeri Oats logo, so that was cool.)

Now if somebody would explain to me why CORN is the main ingredient in about half the varieties of Cheerios on the market!

Well, corn is cheap. Otherwise, I don't know.

About the corn: I know! I want to like all those flavors of Cheerios because I love Cheerios and the flavors (apple cinnamon or whatever, yum) but they make them with a totally different base Cheerio. What the heck.

When I bought a box of apple cinnamon cheerios, got it home, and saw that it was made from corn, it was a kick in the teeth. WTF, General Mills. I didn't look at that in the store because it's Cheerios, people--being made of oats is like its whole thing.

Yep, that's the exact flavor I was thinking of. It's like they're secretly Froot Loops.
