Substitution

83 Degrees?!--Sunday, 10/11/15

Earlier in the week, the forecast for today was a high of 60 F.  But then on Friday I had to switch up my outfit for today to accommodate this crazy last blast of summer weather.

Here's the inspiration photo of black floral top with bright flats.

From itsmostlyaboutfashion.com

I didn't manage to get a photo of me wearing my version, but here's a flat lay that'll let you see the bright, summary colors.

Black/orange/lavender floral tank (Kohls), $1.12/wear
Denim skort (thrifted, Walmart), $0.83/wear
Black short-sleeved cardigan (thrifted, AB Studio), $1.67/wear
Orange flats (Payless), $1.67/wear
Gold tassel necklace (Kohls), $2.00/wear

Outfit total: $7.29/wear

And as a bonus, I'll show you this sweet faced mini lop.

Who could possibly compete with such cuteness anyway...I mean, except for another bunny?

On a more intellectual note, I saw this weekend that the article that I wrote with my advisor at My Masters University, which was published in February of this year, has 103 reads on the ResearchGate site.  Pretty cool, huh?

I'm sooo over summer (and it's going to be 80 degrees again tomorrow, ugh). But I love the floral tank! Congrats on the article reads, that's fun :)

Thanks!

Re: the article, after putting so much effort into it, it's nice that it's not going to be one of those articles that get read by maybe 10 people.

We also had a blast of summer. But our fall clothes are perfect for summer, too, so it was no big deal. :-)

Glad you got a lot of reads on your article. Is there an easy way to see if people are referencing it in their papers?

Debbie, yes, we can check citations, but I figure that with the publication cycle taking as long as it does, an article published in February won't be cited yet much by October. However, this will be something interesting to look into a bit down the road.

Could be fun.
