A Peasant Weekend

Living is Easy--Sunday, 9/6/15

Focal item: Black peasant top

The components of this last-gasp-of-summer outfit are simple: peasant top, short skirt, flats, and a bulldog.

From sweetbananie.blogspot.com

Damn, I don't have a bulldog!

Black peasant top (thrifted, Banana Republic), $2.00/wear+
Denim skort (thrifted, Walmart), $1.25/wear
Black floral flats (Payless), $2.17/wear
Red and white bead necklace by RB+

Outfit total: $5.42/wear

How about I give you a white and black rabbit--will that do?

In other news...I've taken advantage of the longer weekend to put together and photograph a bunch of outfits.  Getting ahead on this means making more time in my life in the coming weeks to do other things...perhaps play Fallout 3.

I'm doing OK with the Life Style Challenge lately.  Not super-great the last couple weeks, but adequate.  I've exercised at least 3-4 times per week, even during my worst/laziest/sickest periods, so I feel good about that.  This evening Robert and I are going to try a yoga video on Amazon's streaming service.  I'll let you know how that goes.

Has anyone read the new Millenium series novel The Girl in the Spider's Web yet?  I just saw a full-page ad in The Atlantic this week that reminded me of its existence.  I really hope that it's a worthy continuation of Stieg Larsson's series--Blomkvist and Salander are too interesting to have their stories cut short by Larsson's death.  It's already got 68 holds on it at Coldville's public library (for 14 copies).  I should get myself on that list soon!

I was able to reserve The Girl in the Spider's Web almost as soon as the library ordered it. I'm not the one reading it, though. That would be your Dad. He is still at the beginning where the characters are being introduced. He says so far so good.

Rabbit sez: Hey, that 'dog' has rabbit-length legs and a rabbit shaped body! Is this like a wolf-in-sheep's clothing - a dog in rabbit clothes? Disapprove!

Mom, glad to hear that the book is good so far. I would really like to see the continuation of this series.

Rvman, everybody wants to be as cute as a bunny, even dogs!
