Floral Stress Reduction Plus

Last Chance for the Season--Monday, 10/3/16

Today's Reverse Inspiration from 9/22/16 features a floral necktie blouse and grey pants, styled for fall.  Very nice!

From mixmatchfashion.com

I chose to get a last wear of my chambray blazer for the season with my decidedly-not-fall-floral pink blouse (also last chance for the season).  It was a warm afternoon, so I was glad to be wearing something so lightweight.

Light pink floral blouse (Disney Alice/Kohls), $4.11/wear
Chambray blazer (thrifted, Target), $2.50/wear
Dark grey skirt (Walmart), $6.00/wear
Burgundy flats (thrifted), $3.50/wear

Outfit total: $16.11/wear

I think that the dark grey skirt helps make this color scheme a bit more reasonable for fall.  And wearing the burgundy shoes featuring a flower shape on the toe was just too matchy for me to resist.

Enjoy these pink flowers from a garden at the state fair this summer.

In other news...With the anxiety I've been feeling about my job lately, it was so reassuring to read about this technique for reducing stress.  Of course, with the state of psychological research these days, the significant finding of an average 12% decrease in stress levels among those succeeding at the intervention is probably an overstatement of its effects.

A recent article relates that the average American woman now wears between a size 16 and 18.  Meanwhile, H&M has decided to stop selling plus-size clothing in many/most of its stores, supposedly to leave more room for their interior furnishings selection.

H&M is also making news for laying women off when they get pregnant.
