Shortest Autumn Ever

Last Friday was 75 F.

This Friday (tomorrow) it is going to snow.

Fall season, it's been nice knowing you.

I guess I better link to this article about jacket wearing while the season is still (briefly) appropriate.

My mom sent this delightful article about the latest Dan Brown novel, which is guaranteed to be 100 times more enjoyable than reading any Dan Brown novel.

Plus this comic is for my dad.

And yes, we did survive Zoo Tour 2017!  I took over 2600 photos.  Hah.  I have only gone through the photos from 3 sites (2 zoos and 1 botanical garden), but I'm reasonably happy with how they've turned out so far.   There have been a few disappointments (e.g., baby monkeys--why do they have to be so fast and mobile so every photo is a blur?) but also some pleasant surprises.

To whet your appetite for animal pictures (because you know, there are going to be a LOT of them coming up), enjoy this meerkat at the Henry Doorly Zoo African Grasslands in Omaha, NE...the first animal at the first zoo of our trip!

No mere cat--it's a mongoose

Awww animal pics, who can resist?! It's been summer temps here all week. I actually wish it would cool off and rain so I can better enjoy the contrast when we go to Hawaii soon.

Gotta love the Ken doll wearing his jacket! I also am looking forward to more nimble photos.

It auto corrected to nimble. I was trying to say animal.

Jen, I wish I could send you some of this 34 F, windy, rain/snow weather we're having today. I mean, just a bit of it, so it could be autumn in both locations.

Mom, I will do my best on nimble animal photos! :)
