I think the guy who writes these songs also did the songs in the Muppets movie. Some people I was with developed this hypothesis (unless I'm confused) while watching the movie and confirmed it with the credits.
In another marginally relevant notes, I can't believe how much I love one of the new songs from that movie (indeed by Bret McKenzie). I'd link to it but I don't know if the link would constitute a spoiler.

Man, as if I needed more of a reason to be excited about the Muppets - I will see the movie once the semester is over.
